Distributors, producer and press from all over the world will be on hand to see the films screened and be available for you to network with. All films, all genres and all people are welcome.
We will have a high calibre panel of special guest judges from various areas of the industry who will review all the nominees and select the winners.
Other events and networking opportunities to be announced closer to the date. These will include seminars, Q&As, conventions and expos. These will be FREE to enter.
Many of the industry’s top companies and film schools will be in attendance for advice and careers opportunities.
Awards will be handed out at a Gala Awards Ceremony at the end of the festival, to which everyone is welcome to attend.

Most of the events take place in our two main venues, meaning it’s easy for you to interact with many delegate and avoid missing out on our exciting programme.
The Mockingbird is in the heart of Birmingham’s creative quarter The Custard Factory, the 100 seat auditorium hosts a programme of theatrical, musical and cinematic events in a unique and intimate environment.
This is a great place not only to view some of the best films around but to network with actors and directors and crew about your next project!

Storyline
Three young people in three different families and one lone bird. The young people do not know each other. Maybe passed by on the street, but more is not it. They live in different home relationships. Gabriel, a gay boy played by Anton Forsdik. His laying is not accepted in his family. He feels abandoned and alone. Johannes is an ADHD diagnosis guy claiming the doctors played by Malte Gårdinger. He also feels lonely in this unfair world. We follow these youngsters in their way through loneliness and heavy depression. Their desire to be accepted as them is to be loved by their immediate. The search for inner freedom and security leads them to different paths and places in their city. The thoughts of Gabriel fly high over the city with questions of loneliness and fate. His thoughts about fate do not only stop with humans, all living ones have their own lives.

Olle is a young school boy. He has only one friend. It is his best friend, but an unusual friend. Olle grappling with huge hard questions. Is he sick or is he just lonely?
Loneliness is hard to live in. During his last moments Olle Samuelsson finds himself in a mess with the darkness.
Will he keep his life? Or will the dark side take it from him?
EITHER – OR is a 2016 Swedish film directed by Anton Forsdik. The film is second part of the trilogy named ”To be like everyone else”.
”I don’t want to live anywhere else” is the first installment in the trilogy of films about Olle Samuelsson.

FATE at Ringerike International Youth Film Festival
FATE Official Selection at Ringerike International Youth Film Festival (RIYFF)
RIYFF is a unique film festival screening films made by young filmmakers 14-26 years of age from Norway and from all over the world. The film festival wants to support young film and tv newcomers. The RIYFF will be held 7-11th of November in the city of Hønefoss.

Thanks to the huge amount of film submissions from filmmakers 14-26 years old we will have again an exceptional film program. Last year we screened 73 films from over 25 countries! Most of the films were from award-winning filmmakers and have been screened at film festivals such as Sundance, Festival de Cannes, Berlinale or British Film Institute Future Film Festival.
This year more than 600 films were submitted from over 70 countries. The categories for the international competition are fiction short, documentary, animation and music video. Soon our RIYFF 2017 festival program will be available here!
